The Climate Change Network for Community-based Initiatives is composed  mainly of four national organization each with proven track records in their respective fields: the Philippine Network of Food Security Programs (PNFSP) in addressing food security concerns   through  community – led  sustainable agriculture  in the framework of diversified   integrated farming system; the Center for Environment Concerns (CEC) on climate Change and environmental education  and advocacies; the  Citizens’ Disaster Response Center (CDRC)  for community – based disaster risk reduction; and the Advocates for Community Health (ACH)  in terms of   nutritional,    psychosocial and   health disaster preparedness capacity building.

 

Using its network's vast experiences in people-centered development programs, CCNCI aims to develop community-based strategies to climate change vulnerabilities.

 


Founded on November 2014, the CCNCI is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

 

Our Vision:

 

CCNCI envisions a prosperous, equitable, and disaster resilient society built on eco-based communities where the people have access to resources, enjoy their rights and the fruits of their labor, and are able to develop their economic, political, and socio-cultural life without being hampered by natural calamities.

 

As a multi-disciplinary network of institutions and organizations with a track record in various sectors, the CCNCI aims to contribute to efforts to mainstream climate change education and responses, and to support comprehensive, scientific, people-based strategies and approaches that address the particular impact of climate change on the country.
